Special Games Schedule

Charity Club Championship
Clubs sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League are required to hold at least one Charity Club Championship each year to benefit the ACBL’s Charity Foundation. This game will fulfill our requirement for 2005. The game is rated at 80% of sectional masterpoint awards. A donation of $1.00 per player for this worthwhile endeavor will be collected. As with all games held at PIBC there will hand records presented at the conclusion of the game.

Newcomers Game
A very special game for our newer players! Players will be allowed to call for assistance with bidding or playing. This is an excellent opportunity for beginning players to quickly improve their skills at the bridge table. This game will be held on Mondays that fall on even numbered days of the month. A thirty minute lesson will start at 10:00AM followed by two hours of supervised play.

Sectional Tournament at Clubs (STaC)
“A Very Special StAC for a Very Special Reason”
Your are invited to attend this special STaC being held by clubs in District 7, 10 and 16 and Florida Units 102, 219 and 240. This is a silver point event and scores will be compared against all participating clubs allowing for large overall awards. There will be an additional $1.50 charged per player and those extra funds will be used to help the Gulf Coast communities affected by the recent hurricanes to rebuild their bridge activities.
Players are eligible to win Sectionally rated Silver Points, many of the sessions will have enough tables in play to generate first overall awards between 12 and 15 masterpoints.
Please plan to attend these special games as 10 pairs are required in order to be combined and ranked with the other club’s participating in the session.
Clubs in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Eastern Tennessee will be participating in this worthwhile event.
